English National Opera 2024 Update…

We are delighted to let you know that your Finish This… submission Purple, Purple, Purple! by Year 4 has been chosen to be made into an animation. Our team listened to all of the submissions and made a shortlist of our favourites and then Omar Shahryar, composer of Blue, Red, Yellow had the difficult job of making the final decision on which 15 pieces should be put forward to be animated.

Omar provided the following feedback to share with your class:

the performance is wonderfully passionate, while the composition has interesting layering which gives the whole thing complexity and originality!

Omar's message ...

Year 4's Composition ...

We are so proud of Year 5 for doing such a wonderful job with their composition for the English National Opera.  The ENO decided that the music was good enough to have some animation created for it.

I am very proud of our learning community and all the children and staff who constitute our happy school. This pride is reflected in our high academic and behavioural standards and in our relationship with our local village community and other organisations and partnerships.

As Head Teacher, I am committed to ensuring that your child gets the best possible education and educational opportunities and experiences at school - developing caring, skillful children who are equipped to continue their educational journey. We are a welcoming, happy Christian school where the importance of purposeful relationships is paramount. This is done in an inclusive, personalised, child centered, secure environment.

These ex pupils came up with the idea that they would like to coach our children on our Lacrosse Training Programme. They are doing a brilliant job as well as expanding their coaching skills. They continue to be a credit to Holy Trinity CE as well as to Wardle Academy.

Please note that the Head Teacher does not work on a Friday.

Our annual EYFS and KS1 "Can you catch me reading?" entries. The children were asked to find the strangest and wackiest place to read a book. We had some great places sent to us, all as crazy as the next! Which one is your favourite and where would you go for some quiet reading time?
