The philosophy of Forest Schools is to encourage and inspire individuals through positive outdoor experiences. The planned sessions are tailored to allow each child to develop their independence, problem solving, risk awareness and team building skills. Each session there will be a different focus to allow the children to experience various activities both independently and in a team.
Here at Holy Trinity we strongly believe in providing many outdoor learning opportunities. As part of this we currently offer Reception, Year 1 and Year 3 the chance to partake in a Forest Schools Programme at Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre. These sessions will take place throughout the year, with children visiting the Forest Schools site several times during the school year.
